IMR operates as an ethical and equitable recruitment entity, committed to instituting robust controls to prevent any manifestations of human trafficking or slavery within its organizational framework or across its supply network. All potential suppliers must undergo comprehensive due diligence assessments before receiving approval. IMR unequivocally prohibits its employees, overseas clients, and other stakeholders from engaging in activities associated with human trafficking or slavery. This includes but is not limited to the transportation, recruitment, harboring, transfer, or receipt of individuals for forced labor, criminal purposes, organ removal, or sexual exploitation through the use of threats, force, coercion, abduction, or fraud. The organization adheres unwaveringly to the foreign employment policies and standards set forth by the Nepal Government, ensuring that workers dispatched to foreign companies are not subjected to modern slavery or human trafficking.
Additionally, IMR explicitly forbids its employees, overseas clients,
and other stakeholders from engaging in practices linked to human
trafficking, which encompass:
Destruction or withholding of an employee's identity or immigration documents.
Employing deceptive or fraudulent practices during employee recruitment, such as failing to disclose essential terms and conditions of employment.
Involvement in commercial sexual activities that could be directly associated with IMR, whether during work hours, off-site events, or official travels.
Utilization of forced labor for any purpose.
Charging recruitment fees to employee candidates.
Employing recruiters who do not conform to local labor laws.
Failing to arrange return transportation for recruited employees brought to a foreign country for employment purposes.
Providing substandard housing that does not meet the host country's standards.
Neglecting to furnish written proof of employment or similar work documentation to employees before their departure from their country of origin.
The policy and procedures for preventing human trafficking and slavery will be effectively communicated to all employees and suppliers, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the risks associated with modern slavery. These guidelines will also be integrated into the company's training materials and support resources. IMR is prepared to take appropriate disciplinary actions, including contract termination, in response to any violations of these regulations.
